A collection of articles about myself or the Visual Arts department involvement in events.

I have a passion for the education of students through Visual Arts. I love teaching students about the diverse cultures of the world through the artefacts of the arts. Cultural relics and documents reveal insights into the minds of recorders of history and the beliefs of those cultures. The IB curriculum has such a powerful and effective structure for conveying the importance of cultural understanding. The individual expression which the Visual Arts commands in the curriculum continues to inspire me onto greater pursuits for those I teach. This passion drives me to seek collaborative opportunities for the students at my school. I have a habit of saying ‘yes’ to things without considering the amount of work required to make it happen. Luckily this habit has always worked out and we have had an amazing array of artists, exhibitions and events.

The visual arts teach students that problems can have more than one solution and that questions can have more than one answer.
